A
Personal Comment:
"Whatever
successes I have belong to God alone. For, of all
people, I am under obligation to God's grace.
Thankfully, I serve a perfect God who can do powerful things
with failure and disappointment. I am grateful for people
like David, Peter, Paul, and the woman who washed Jesus'
feet with her tears. They all fell flat on their
faces. But they all took hold of God's outstretched
hand, got up, and took one more step. If I have
any message for anyone anywhere, it is this: No matter
who you are, take hold
of God's hand! And ignore the people who try to hold
you down."

Reading the Bible Like Jesus and Paul
This innovative topic is designed for 13 lessons which are based on a
contextual study of the Gospel of Matthew and on the writings of
Paul. Individual messages can also be pulled from the body
of this approach.
The lessons develop a "models" approach. This is
accomplished by asking how Jesus read Scripture, how the
Pharisees read Scripture, how Paul read Scripture, and how
current-day readers read Scripture. Comparing all of these
is both instructive and compelling.

When I dove into this study I found that I very much
enjoyed doing it. It is a fresh and new approach to a Bible devotion. I
found the journaling to be rewarding and although it took me a few days to
adjust to the idea that I was sharing a study with Paul, when it set in it
left me wanting more. I look forward to continuing this study when it is
available.

profession I'm a teacher of the Bible and New Testament Greek, and
everybody should take a serious look at this program.
